6 May 2020. Panel discussion on “Measuring Food Insecurity in the Era of COVID-19: Practical insights from data collection activities in four global contexts”

This Webinar was co-sponsored by the Data for Nutrition (DfN) and Agriculture-Nutrition (Ag2Nut) Communities of Practice. The need for data and monitoring emerged as a theme from the April 2nd Ag2Nut webinar on “COVID-19, Food Systems & Nutrition.” As food security is a key piece of agriculture-to-nutrition pathways, practitioners around the world shared their experiences through this measurement-focused discussion.

  • India – COVID19 Remote Surveys: A rapid assessment of food security in India (IDInsight)
  • Nepal – Program monitoring by community health workers (Helen Keller International’s Suaaharra project)
  • USA – Food insecurity/access survey (Johns Hopkins Center for a Livable Future)
  • Global – Mobile Vulnerability Analysis and Mapping (mVAM) Program (World Food Programme)

Register for the Data for Nutrition community of practice (www.datafornutrition.org) to join follow-up discussion to the webinar in our Moderated Topics event “Rapid Assessment of Food Security during COVID-19: Sharing knowledge and experience” 6-20 May 2020
