e-Forum discussion on the Agriculture Open Data Package

10 July 2017.  The Agriculture Open Data Package (AgPack) is a resource for governments to guide them in publishing open data they have generated or collected.

The AgPack proposes 6 policy areas where open data can support the agricultural sector and identifies 14 data categories to realize impact in the agricultural sector.

Background:
Starting June 19th – July 14th the e-Agriculture platform hosted a forum on ICTs and Open Data in Agriculture and Nutrition.

This discussion explored how information communication technologies (ICTs) can be used to facilitate the fair use of open data in agriculture and nutrition by farmers in general and especially by the more vulnerable among them such as family farmers, rural women and the youth engaged in farming as a livelihood.
