CGIAR announced Elwyn Grainger-Jones as New Executive Director

9 August 2016. Paris. CGIAR, the world’s largest agricultural research for development partnership, announced the appointment of Elwyn Grainger-Jones as Executive Director of the CGIAR System Organization.

A British national, Mr. Grainger-Jones brings more than 20 years’ experience and expertise in development, agriculture and climate change to the CGIAR partnership including previous positions at the UK’s Department for International Development (DFID), the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) and the World Bank. He will assume the role effective 03 October 2016 and be based at the CGIAR System Management Office in Montpellier, France, where CGIAR is hosted as an International Organization.
