How to preserve heritage food for the gastrotourism sector

2 February 2020. Cairo, Egypt. Nawaya ngo with the support of The Embassy of Switzerland in Egypt celebrated an important step in its journey to preserve and spread knowledge of heritage food, on the rural Tablyah day

Women cooks from the villages of Saqqara and Dahshur in Giza Governorate, and Shakshouk and Tunis in Fayoum Governorate, participated in this event. 

The event sampled various recipes and stimulated discussion on how to preserve heritage food, and how such ideas enable women to lead profitable enterprises in the gastrotourism sector.
