In 2005, a broad range of institutions and organisations in East Flanders decided to create a cooperation platform around the participation of the annual guest of honour on Flanders International Trade Fair . Since, very successful editions of Flanders International Trade Fair took place hosting respectively the People’s Republic of China – Province of Hebei (2005), Socialist Republic of Vietnam (2006), the Republic of South-Africa (2007), the Republic of India (2008), Turkey (2009), Indonesia (2010) , Saudi Arabia (2011), Pistoia – Italy (2012), Nepal (2013), Can Tho – Vietnam (2014), Pakistan (2015), Senegal (2016), Hebei (China-2017).
For the 2018 edition the guest of honour was Algeria.

Pour ses recettes, Thala sélectionne des produits locaux et de saison. De plus, Thala n’utilise aucun procédé industriel automatisé ou polluant. Dans une région où l’activité économique est peu développée, THALA fait appel aux femmes du
village, qui détiennent un savoir faire unique transmis à travers le temps. Thala a su révéler le talent de ces femmes qui composent notre belle équipe.
Thala sélectionne des producteurs à échelle humaine. Les
abricotiers centenaires d’N’GAOUS arrosés à l’eau de source sont reconnus pour leurs fruits d’une qualité incomparable, cueillis à la main, et utilisés pour nos confitures cuites au chaudron en cuivre.
Les Poivrons et les tomates que Thala sélectionne sont gorgés de soleil, et cultivés en Kabylie. La réputation de son terroir, et de ses eaux saines issues des sommets du Djurdjura, garantissent une qualité unique. Les citrons des vergers de la vallée de la Mitidja sont reconnus, pour la fertilité de cette terre, et la qualité ancestrale de ses produits. Enfin, les herbes aromatiques sauvages de Thala sont cueillis dans les prairies avoisinant le village, dans des lieux connus des villageois depuis plusieurs générations.

Avec une fabrication artisanale par double fermentation, le vinaigre de dattes, est un produit naturel plein de bienfaits pour le traitement de nombreux problèmes de santé pour ses vertus médicinales, le produit très riche en nutriments notamment des vitamines et minéraux comme le magnésium, le fer, le silicium, le calcium, le phosphore, le soufre en plus des enzymes, acide essentiels et de la pectine.

Le sirop ou miel de dattes est considéré comme mine vu le grand nombre des éléments minéraux qu’il contient: (Calcium – Magnésium – Cuivre – Sodium – Phosphore – Zinc – Sélénium) en plus du sucre, et les vitamines qui sont bénéfiques pour le corps: (A – B1 – B2 – C). C’est un extrait de différentes dattes communes sous les noms : Sirop JOUHART, Sirop GHARSS, Sirop BALLA et Sirop DALI dont la nutrition, la couleur et le goût sont différents.
Coté sucré: sur les crêpes, les gaufres et les pancakes, ou pour sucrer yaourts et fromage blanc. Délicieux dans les pâtisseries et les desserts. C’est une alternative gourmande au sirop d’érable ou au sirop d’agave.
