The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI), and the CGIAR Research Program on Policies, Institutions and Markets (PIM) carried out a one year global study “Strategies to invest in human capital in agriculture” to generate evidence about promising investments in farmers’ human capital.

We invite you to attend a two-day virtual capstone event on 24 – 25 November 2020. We will share study findings, best practices, recommendations for investment in human capital in agriculture. With partners we will discuss strategies to ensure future agriculture human capital investment.

Day 1 will include three simultaneous parallel sessions to better understand the case studies under three different themes:  (1) women, youth & marginalised groups; (2) private-sector engagement; and (3) systems integration, institutionalization and scaling up.

Further information on each session is available in the document attached for your ease of reference. When registering for the event, please indicate which session you wish to attend (first and second option).

A draft background and programme document is also attached.
