Agrinatura was invited to attend the RUFORUM Annual General Meeting in Harare, Zimbabwe

This year Regional Universities Forum for Capacity Building in Agriculture (RUFORUM) 18th Annual general Assembly Meeting in Harare, Zimbabwe, strives to strengthen the capacities of universities to foster innovations responsive to demands of small- holder farmers in Africa.

The overall theme of the Ruforum AGM is Strengthening Africa’s Agri-food Systems in the Post COVID-19 Era – Opportunities and Challenges.

The event will bring together policy makers including Ministers and Technical Experts, Higher Education Leaders in Africa, development partners, private sector leaders, researchers, innovators, students, and farmer organizations among others.

Agrinatura was represented by the President Dr Stephen Onakuse and participated in a panel of discussion during the official opening of the scientific conference on the topic Linking agricultural research with the agribusiness community from a pro-poor perspective: The importance of human capital development.

The President on behalf of Agrinatura delivered a Goodwill message, where he reiterate that Agrinatura will continue to partner and work with Ruforum to drive its mission, objectives, goals and objectives across the African continent in order to realise our collective dreams in food and nutrition security, achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGS), developing Climate change solutions, and the current UN food systems transformation agenda.
