CGIAR and Wageningen University have developed and tested an Online Course on Innovation and Scaling that is now made available to the general public: https://innovationandscaling.thinkific.com/courses/innovation-and-scaling.

The course has been developed under the CGIAR Research Program on Roots, Tubers and Bananas (RTB) and is now further promoted as part of CGIAR’s commitment to achieving impact and contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals.

This free course has been developed for students, scientists, development experts and for research and innovation managers. It takes approximately 3 hours, is available in English (for now), and offers a certificate to those who successfully complete the course. It is structured around 6 Modules that answer questions such as:

  1. What do we mean with innovation?
  2. How do innovations scale as part of packages?
  3. How to ensure (gender-)responsible scaling?
  4. How to measure the Scaling Readiness of innovations?
  5. How to develop evidence-based scaling strategies with partners?
  6. Why invest in innovation portfolio management?

A short animated video that explains the course in 2 minutes can be found here: https://www.scalingreadiness.org/courses/.
