The international conference and knowledge brokering event taking place in Leeds from 22nd to 24th June.

This is being organised by Africa College partners (IITA, ICIPE and Leeds). The goal of the conference is to demonstrate and share lessons on how to translate research results into impact on food security, nutrition and human health in sub-Saharan Africa, and under this we plan to have themes answering two central questions:

·       How can the results of basic science and inter-disciplinary research lead to increased impact on food security and human health?
·       How can partnerships between research and development organisations deliver innovation and impact?
Using the papers and outcome of the discussions it is planed to identify best practices and share this experience. The conference is open to all those interested in achieving impact – both from researchers but also from people and organisations (including NGOs and private sector) who help translate this into impact. One of the goals of this event is to use the opportunity to strengthen existing partnerships between EU, African and International research organisations.
