University College Cork’s  MSc in Food Security Policy and Management is now inviting applications for the programme starting in September 2022.

The course is aimed at the SDG2 goal of ending hunger and achieving food and nutrition security. We would be interested to hear from any organisations interested in sponsoring students from Least Developed Countries.

University College Cork’s Masters (MSc) of Food Security Policy & Management <link>  is now recruiting students from diverse backgrounds to join the International Development Unit of UCC’s Department of Food Business and Development.

This programme is aimed at students who want to address one of the greatest challenges facing our global community, ending food insecurity & malnutrition.

It is one of the few courses worldwide specifically focused on the design and implementation of food and nutrition security policies and programmes.

 

Students enrolled in the MSc Food Security Policy & Management<https://www.ucc.ie/en/ckl04/> will learn the appropriate knowledge, skills and competencies to develop and manage policies and programmes to tackle global food security and nutrition challenges in a fast-changing multi-disciplinary environment.

You will develop analytical and practical skills in areas including:

Food security policy and practice

Food security, nutrition and dietary quality Programme planning and management for food security, nutrition and health Applied research Join our team of students and academic Faculty who have a long history of engagement in developing country research and practice. UCC will collaborate with the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI), which has been conducting food policy research in developing countries over the past 40 years, to offer selected sessions as well as providing research material and methods for the design and delivery of the courses under this programme.
