Kick-off Meeting of the Project SIMPLE

 

The official Kick-off Meeting of the project SIMPLE: Support of International Platform Merging Labour and Education was held at the Czech University of Life Sciences (CULS) Prague from 24th till 26th October 2016.

 

The main objective of the Meeting was to create the best conditions to link alumni with professional sector in Cambodia, Indonesia and Thailand and set up cooperation for the whole project period. The project coordinator (CULS Prague) and representatives from 8 project partner universities from Austria, Belgium, Cambodia, Indonesia and Thailand participated in the Kick-off meeting. During 3 days of intensive discussions, project team shared their practical experiences and visions regarding Alumni Centres, Career Centres, Internships and Platforms for Cooperation with Professional Sector. Clear framework of the project was set up by the main coordinator Petra Chaloupková Ph.D. from the Faculty of Tropical AgriSciences (FTA), including all activities, organization and management of the project. High value of the Meeting was ensured by the workshop, where actively participated the representatives of academic sector, students from Cambodia, Indonesia and Thailand presently studying at FTA together with the representatives of the labour market (e.g. representative of the Czech Ministry of Agriculture, private company Dekonta, Forum for Development Cooperation, YPARD).

The Kick-off meeting officially launched a new project SIMPLE, which will greatly facilitate Asian graduates enter the job market and to the professional sector it will enable further development with well-educated workforce ready for the real practical requirements.
