AGRINATURA Association is offefing 8 travel grants for MSc and PhD students participating at Tropentag 2012.

AGRINATURA association will support the annual Conference on Tropical and Subtropical Agricultural and Natural Resource Management (TROPENTAG) with the general theme for 2012: Resilience of agricultural systems against crisis.

The conference will be held on 19-21 September 2012 in Goettingen, Germany.

Tropentag is a development-oriented and interdisciplinary conference. It addresses issues of resource management, environment, agriculture, forestry, fisheries, food, nutrition and related sciences in the context of rural development, sustainable resource use and poverty alleviation worldwide. The meeting invites all scientists, students and experts engaged in topics of the above mentioned fields.

Young scientists are particularly encouraged to present their research projects and results.

AGRINATURA will grant 8 students from AGRINATURA members’ institutions (excluding German universities) by the travel grant of amount 500 EUR. Please note that this grant is only available for students from Agrinatura members institutions, the list is available HERE. Students are challenged to submit their abstract to the Tropentag 2012 Conference (www.tropentag.de) till 2 May, 2012 and at the same time to send the abstract and request for travel grant to AGRINATURA Secretariat (email:secretariat@agrinatura.eu) till 1 June, 2012. As soon as the abstract will be accepted by Tropentag 2011 Conference commitee, AGRINATURA selection committee will select 8 students who will receive the travel grant. Please note that the student must be present personally at the conference to be able to receive the travel grant.

At the same time, AGRINATURA will grant the Best Poster Award of 1000 €!!!.

Deadline for submitting abstract is May 2, 2012, the deadline for travel grant request is June 1, 2012!!!
