The Biennial Africa Climate Smart Agriculture Stakeholders Conference.

The 1st Biennial Africa Climate Smart Agriculture Stakeholders Conference is scheduled to hold on the 1st and 2nd December, 2020.

It will be hosted by FARA and conducted virtually.

The central objective of the conference is to foster continental and national CSA readiness to advert the negative effects of climate change and ensure sustainability of agriculture, food and nutrition security, taking a food system approach. The Conference will include a session dedicated to the presentation of research papers, to nurture the policy and technical dialogue among academicians, researchers, managers, policy makers, small producers organisations, civil society organisations, agribusiness sector, and students”.

The conference is seeking submissions related to the following conference topics:

Assessment of the state of climate smart agriculture in Africa
Spate of technology development and adoption in CSA
Foresight, projections and futures of CSA in Africa
Innovative CSA technologies and practices for Africa smallholder farmers
Synergies and trade-offs among the CSA pillars: productivity, adaptation and mitigation
Role of private sector in successful scaling mechanisms for CSA adoption
Other related topics will also be considered
