Agrinatura provides 8 travel grants for Tropentag 2011, deadline prolonged till May 30th

AGRINATURA association will support the annual Conference on Tropical and Subtropical Agricultural and Natural Resource Management (TROPENTAG) with the general theme for 2011: Development on the margin.

The conference will be held on 5-7 October 2011 at the University of Bonn in Germany.

The Tropentag is a development-oriented and interdisciplinary conference. It addresses issues of resource management, environment, agriculture, forestry, fisheries, food, nutrition and related sciences in the context of rural development, sustainable resource use and poverty alleviation worldwide. The meeting invites all scientists, students and experts engaged in topics of the above mentioned fields.

Young scientists are particularly encouraged to present their research projects and results.

AGRINATURA will grant 8 students from AGRINATURA members’ institutions (excluding German universities) by the travel grant of amount 500 EUR. Students are challenged to submit their abstract to the Tropentag 2011 Conference (www.tropentag.de) till 15 May, 2011(PROLONGED TILL MAY 30TH 2011) and at the same time to send the abstract and request of travel grant to AGRINATURA Secretariat (email:secretariat@agrinatura.eu) till 15 May, 2011 (PROLONGED TILL MAY 30TH 2011). As soon as the abstract will be accepted by Tropentag 2011 Conference commitee, AGRINATURA selection committee will select 8 students who will receive the travel grant. Please note that the student must be present personally at the conference to be able to receive the travel grant.

At the same time, AGRINATURA will grant the Best Poster Award of 1000 € to the best poster within the Travel grant Awardees.

Deadline for submitting abstract is May 30, 2011!!!
