Project Coordinator (CEA-FIRST – PANAP)

AGRINATURA (The European Alliance on Agricultural Knowledge for Development) is a network of European life-science universities and research centres supporting agricultural research and development (ARD). AGRINATURA is now hiring a project manager with experience in managing European Union Horizon Europe-funded projects to manage and provide support for the implementation of the recently awarded projects CEA-FIRST (“Consortium Europe-Africa for Research and Innovation on Food Systems Transformation”) and StEPPFoS (“Strengthening Evidence-Based Policy Practice for Sustainable Food Systems projects.

S/he should have at least 5 years of international development work experience, of which 3 years spent working in a consortium.

Duties include:

  1. Setting up of all governance structures, management, and strategic plans to provide direction for the implementation
  2. Coordinate and implement cross-WP actions/linkages to ensure coherence in line with cross-cutting activities.
  3. Implementation of Dissemination and Communication Activities
  4. Prepare a Data Management Plan (DMP) per the FAIR principles and Horizon.
  5. Set up social media channels to reach and engage with specific stakeholder groups.
  6. Project Ethical Controls and Quality Assurance and Cross-cutting Issues
  7. Gender Action Strategy
  8. Ensuring that all project information and knowledge products generated are made available for the benefit of project partners initially, and subsequently to the wider group of stakeholders and of AGRINATURA members.

This position requires:

  1. Demonstrated experience in the management of EU Horizon projects.
  2. Demonstrated experience in technical writing and budgeting.
  3. Technical skills and experience in the areas of agriculture, agribusiness, and/or economic growth.
  4. Ability to organise workshops, and/or conduct assessments and evaluations of projects.
  5. Strong interpersonal and team leadership skills.
  6. Strong organisational, time management, and verbal and written communication skills.
  7. Native English speaking level required with abilities in a second language, preferably French.
  8. A master’s degree in a related area is strongly preferred.
  9. Ability to work independently and as a team member meet tight deadlines and work across cultures.
  10. International travels and work in an international context.
