About DeSIRA LIFT+
DeSIRA LIFT+ (€3M) is a new initiative funded by the European Commission (DG INTPA F3) and implemented by Agrinatura, launched on 5 January 2026.
It serves as a service facility supporting the wider DeSIRA+ programme (€100M plus EU Member States’ contributions).
The DeSIRA+ programme aims to promote agroecological, ecosystem-based and nature-based transitions in agriculture and food systems in Sub-Saharan Africa.
DeSIRA LIFT+ focuses on improving coherence and synergies across DeSIRA+ interventions.
Its objectives include fostering dialogue among implementers, partners and policymakers.
It also provides tailored services and produces actionable knowledge to support innovation at scale.
Rather than predefined activities, it responds to emerging needs through studies, learning processes, expert support and facilitated dialogue.
The project is currently in its inception phase, consolidating priorities, partnerships and activities.
Upcoming actions include needs assessments, learning exchanges and initial analytical activities.
The initiative relies on mobilising Agrinatura experts and invites members to contribute their expertise.
