Multisectoral Governance to Scale up Impacts of Investments in Local Food
Value Chains debated during UNFSS+4 side event
The SASi-SPi initiative in collaboration with the World Food Program supported the
EU and the Cameroon government in arranging a multistakeholder side-event during
the UNFSS+4 meeting.
African and European countries face distinct challenges in their food systems
transitions, yet they share a common imperative: the need for strong cross-sectoral
policy coordination and increased investment in local food chains. These topics were
discussed by the participants during the side event and good examples were
showcased by among others Cameroon and Madagascar.
