Multisectoral Governance to Scale up Impacts of Investments in Local Food

Value Chains debated during UNFSS+4 side event

The SASi-SPi initiative in collaboration with the World Food Program supported the

EU and the Cameroon government in arranging a multistakeholder side-event during

the UNFSS+4 meeting.

African and European countries face distinct challenges in their food systems

transitions, yet they share a common imperative: the need for strong cross-sectoral

policy coordination and increased investment in local food chains. These topics were

discussed by the participants during the side event and good examples were

showcased by among others Cameroon and Madagascar.
