7 October 2018. Food sovereignty is much more beyond the food
on our plates. It is the historical heritage, the nutritional benefits, the cultural identity, the economic effects, and the environmental impact of the food that we eat. But, it is also, quite simply, just about the foods we are able to choose to eat.
The ECV Ontario team recently completed a research project and this short video is our attempt to disseminate the knowledge gained through the research. In this video, we explore the topic of food sovereignty using the Somali community in the GTA region as a case study.
