ii) The role of sustainable fisheries and aquaculture for food security and nutrition
For each round table, background documents include a report of the High Level Panel of Experts on Food Security and Nutrition (HLPE) and a proposed Decision Box.
The Committee has been asked to endorse the “Principles for Responsible Agricultural Investments” (CFS-RAI), which reflect the outcome of an inclusive consultative process both at the global and regional levels following a decision by CFS 39 in 2012.
The Committee has been asked to adopt a decision box on the “Agenda for Action for Addressing Food Insecurity in Protracted Crises” (CFS-A4A), which indicates the way forward for the negotiations and expresses the support of the CFS to the continuation and finalization of the process.
